The Managing Partner of the «Matviyiv and Partners» has explained, why we grant our scholarships and what we expect of the students:

«We, as lawyers, understand that the future belongs to the progressive jurisprudence, and for us the  LL.M. program at the UCU means exactly the same what had been missing in Lviv. Certainly, what lawyers we will have on the market of law depends on who has completed the Master’s degree program, how well the persons can study, how much the studies have given them. It is very important for us, as an employer.

My personal expectations as a future employer are the following: they should be persons, who have already, in advance, decided themselves by 90 percent, in what juridical positions they imagine themselves. We, as a judicial-and-legal firm, are interested in that as many students of the Master’s degree program as possible have mastered the applied legal profession, and even better – advocacy. These people do not necessarily must have a plan for the next 20 years, but they should clearly understand what they are going to do, where they imagine themselves in 10 years and what they want to achieve.

And the persons, who grant scholarship, we want to see these students in 5-10 years happy and successful, regardless of whether they are with us or not».
