Serhiy Matviyiv and Roksolana Kostur, partners of the «Matviyiv and Partners», successfully defended interests of a business entity in the Ivano-Frankivsk Region from illegal tax obligations established by tax authorities to the tune of more than 3 600 000.00 UAH. The findings of the tax audit, carried out as part of the criminal proceedings, were recognized by the court as illegal and unjustified. The court found that the tax authorities had not provided evidence to support the client’s infringement of the established order of conducting business, tax evasion or the presence of damage caused to the state. Also, no evidence of criminal liability by the officials and no liability of the business entities for tax evasion or other tax offenses had been provided by the tax authorities.
